The curriculum for the Japanese Department is operated based on the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. Our curriculum is divided into four areas: "Free Play," "Kindergarten Life," "Activity Tasks," and "Kindergarten Events." We plan various activities and play that excite children every day. In addition, we ensure that children actively participate in activities such as letter play, number play, physical activities, music play, and creative activities, tailored to their developmental stages and age groups.
We implement STEAM education recommended by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. By introducing the school version of Think!Think!, and using iPads and Apple Pencils, we foster thinking and problem-solving abilities. With supervision from the Preschool STEAM Education Association, we run a curriculum that includes experiments, experiences, and LEGO-based activities. Through STEAM education, we aim to boost self-confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
From the 2-year-old class, we incorporate English lessons taught by native teachers through play. Children in the 3 to 5-year-old classes have six lessons per month, and for those who wish to engage more with English, there is an optional afternoon class twice a week. Additionally, we conduct 1-2 Thai lessons per month where children learn basic greetings and everyday Thai language used in daily life.
Being an international kindergarten, we value Japanese culture while incorporating Thai and Western cultures as well. Events are set up for children to experience a variety of cultures, such as the Tanabata Festival, Loy Krathong Festival, and Halloween. Other cultural events that children can enjoy include field trips, Christmas parties, presentations, and sports days.
